That Frankenstein does sound interesting... I am ALSO wary (and weary) of women-centering retellings, which can lean into GIRLBOSS!!!!, but it sounds like this avoids that? Or the unstated given that women are naturally better than men, which, god, we should by now all have enough even very personal and individual examples to know isn't true... lol. Sorry! Anyway. I DO often wish people would just do adaptations that do the thing rather than pretending the original does the thing, and this sounds like not only that exact kind of swing, it sounds like the production is very invested in the original's themes, which is a solid grounding... I'll for sure keep an eye out for it. Maybe someday!
I'm mixed on Frankenstein the book, but I was also very much in undergrad when I read it last, so I really don't know what I'd think now.
