I mean, the play doesn't really go past the "all of her siblings died and then Elizabeth Gaskell wrote Charlotte's biography" of her story, which was why I was so surprised to discover that she did get married— you'd think they'd at least mention it, surely, especially since Charlotte having a crush on a guy who didn't like her back was a plot point not once but twice!
