I did like her novel Gingerbread, which came out earlier this year, and I am intrigued by what I know of Mr. Fox (an author's muse comes to life to convince him to stop killing off female characters?) but, yeah, if I'd picked up Boy, Snow, Bird first, I don't know how enthusiastic I'd be about reading her other books.
