Army of Thieves (2021)

What a fun movie!!! It's a heist film technically set during the early days of a zombie apocalypse, but this has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on the actual plot. (There is a reason for this, which is that it's a prequel to the much more zombie-focused Army of the Dead, but it's just so much funnier to pretend there isn't.) The main character is a socially awkward German bank teller and hobbyist safecracker; his reaction to being recruited to an international heist team to steal money from a series of legendarily uncrackable vaults inspired by Wagner's Ring Cycle is "...am I being spunked?" There is a dramatic chase scene on a bicycle. There is a fight scene set to what appeared to be an EDM version of Ring Around The Rosie. There is a French Interpol agent pursuing the heist crew across Europe that I can only describe as the person I'd want to be the one human actor in a remake of this movie where everyone else is played by muppets. It is tremendously, wonderfully goofy and I loved every minute of it. 10/10.
