Uriah is SO creepy. The 2020 movie definitely could have gone creepier with him. (No shade to Ben Whishaw, but I've been wracking my brain for other actors I would cast as Heep, and currently I've landed on the actor who played Hickey in The Terror [Adam Nagaitis?].)
The evil genius of him is that everything that actually comes out of his mouth is juuuust plausible enough (I just got through that absolutely WRENCHING scene with Dr. Strong) and everyone around him is constrained from calling out his b.s. by their Victorian era social niceties??
