It is not the most flattering portrayal of Elizabeth Gaskell, in that it kind of blames her for encouraging Charlotte to sand off the rough edges of the Bronte literary legacy, but she does show up! (Shoutout to the one guy in the ensemble who played all the female bit roles, including Gaskell; he was great.)
